Rebase is a bonded base/sub-base material made by blending crushed recycled construction materials with AR Glass Fibers and a fine silica Portland cement matrix. It is an economically, environmentally and structurally sound alternative to non-bonded materials.

The EPA has identified waste asphalt as a low-level hazard, but through the Rebase production process, it is converted to a safe useful, durable, structural material. TXI specializes in adding value by focusing on resource recovery and efficiency rather than waste management.

Rebase Advantages:

  • Expedites construction by eliminating lengthy mix-in-place soil stabilization applications.
  • Saves the cost of additional haul off and excavation.
  • LEED® compatible Rebase is made from 80% recycled/reused materials to maximize reuse and minimize the environmental impact of construction waste.
  • Rebase forms a fiber-reinforced monolithic structure that protects grade, will not wash out and creates a safe stable working environment.
  • Rebase develops greater compressive strengths and lower permeability, but maintains flexibility in the structure.
  • Rebase is placed like other materials and is consistent in moisture, mixture and performance.
  • Rebase has a long life cycle and its durability creates the base for low-maintenance permanent paving systems.
  • Rebase’s unique characteristics allow it to be blended for use as a base for rigid or flexible pavements.
